1. The Vodafone Comedy Carnival:

The Vodafone Comedy Carnival begins on the 22nd of October and guarantees a good laugh! With comedians such as Ardal O’ Hanlon, Dermot and Dave, Jason Byrne, Margaret McHugh and many more, we’ll be surprised if you go home without a knot in your stomach. 2.  Howl-O-Ween Festival at Slieve Aughty:

It’s a spooky time at Slieve Aughty during the Halloween Festival, with ghosts and goblins galore, haunted houses, Halloween tricks and treats, scary stories, costumes, face painting, horses and ponies to pet and ride, nature walks, and arts and crafts. This is a  family event where you can enjoy the fresh air of autumn with a walk to Bloody Mary’s haunted house and dare yourself to see her in the mirror of her ruin.

3.  Macnas Halloween Parade:

The annual Macnas Halloween Parade is set to take place on the 27th of October at 5:30 pm. This event brings 70,000 people to the streets of Galway every year and is one not to be missed. The narrative theme of this year’s parade is ‘Danse Macabre’ which will include signature Macnas giant creations and sculptural images, pyrotechnics, bespoke costumes, and epic performances to live and original music. It promises to be strange, unpredictable and utterly mesmerizing.

4. Halloween Bonfire and Storytelling:

The Halloween Bonfire & Storytelling takes place on 27th and 28th of October and runs from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. It is a great excuse to get the family out for an afternoon of spooky arts & crafts, chilling stories with master storyteller Rab Fulton, potions and lotions with the Wacky Witch, hunting for the Púca and a grand finale of a bonfire to celebrate Halloween.

5. Great Escape Rooms:

A great activity do with friends or family in Galway City this Halloween is the Great Escape Rooms. The game includes teams of players cooperatively discovering clues, solving puzzles, and accomplishing tasks in one or more rooms in order to progress and accomplish a specific goal in a limited amount of time. The Great Escape Rooms are the leader of trendy entertainment in Galway and it is an all round really enjoyable experience.  The nature of the game requires a tremendous amount of teamwork and communication.
