The amusement rides include a 32 meter high Big Wheel, Santa’s grotto & the popular Bier Keller.

A visit to Galway Christmas Market is incomplete without at least one stop at the beer tent. Generally, it is packed to the rafters most if not every night as the Christmas music rings out around the tent & the Steins are in big supply. Often, folk argue that the visit to the tent is focused on the novelty of the Stein glasses rather than a night out on the beer.
3. Christmas Busking on Shop Street
Carol singers get involved with the everyday buskers along Shop Street and High Street to bring some festive ambiance to the throngs of people doing their Christmas shopping. You are likely to come across many different instruments from saxophones to violins & everything in between. There are many charity-driven events at this time of year so if you have a euro or two to spare, why not show your appreciation to the carol singers for their efforts.

5. Take the plunge at Blackrock
The COPE Christmas day swim is taking place on Christmas morning from 10am to 1pm at Blackrock, Salthill. What better way to celebrate the festivities than to take a plunge into Atlantic. This year will be the 28th annual Cope Christmas day swim.
