Galway has plenty to do and see however the weather can be unreliable sometimes so here are activities you can do with the family on a rainy weekend.
Pack your bags, get the GPS ready to go, the family is going to Galway. You cannot say you were raised in Galway unless you’ve taken a trip down to Salthill to Leisureland’s 65-meter giant water slide. Regardless of the age bracket, it’s almost difficult to not have a good time at this fun-filled leisure center by the coast. For the kids, it has a toddlers pool with lots of interactive features and recently they introduced a state of the arts giant inflatable obstacle course at the weekends on selected sessions.
Its a Strikeeee!!!
Let’s nip it in the bud, there are no experts when it comes to bowling but what better way to pass the time with the family than a game of bowling. It’s the ever-reliable activity that rarely fails to entertain. Both Galway locations also have soft play areas for the toddlers.

It’s got something for all of the family to excel at & more importantly have a good laugh at one another when you fail miserably.
4. Bring the family to the Cinema
It doesn’t require a full explanation, does it?
The Eye Cinema runs a special screening called EYE Scream where parents can enjoy a film without worrying about disturbing anyone because everyone is going through the same experience! Both cinemas also offer 3D screenings from time to time that offers a different experience for the customer.

Go Karting always adds that little extra spice in terms of competitive streak no matter what age bracket you fall under. The kids will get a great thrill as will the parents… unless you get beaten in the final standings by one of your kids – they will never let you live it down! Its a different experience to the others mentioned already on the blog but one for the thrill seekers.
